Each Great Forces Deals (GFD) site is linked to every other GFD site

The aim is to allow personnel in one area to make contact Great Forces Deals.comwith colleagues in another area. Maybe you’re being posted or just visiting on exercise or secondment – you can ask  your colleagues in the area you are being posted to for information/advice on a wide range of topics concerning that area.

As an ex-RN member I remember how strange it was being posted from Portsmouth to Rosyth. I mean ’strange’ in that I had to find my feet and re-discover where the best pubs were (a priority as a 20 year old!) Where local swimming pool was; even how best to get from Inverkeithing station to HMS Cochrane (now a big industrial estate). A network of sites like this would have been a big help, allowing me to at least get an idea of what kind of area I was going to. As more personnel discover this network of sites we think they will find it really beneficial – especially as we add more areas over the coming months.

Get info on the following areas…

Just click on any of the links (areas) below:

Canterbury area

Catterick area

Colchester area

Edinburgh area

Inverness area

Plymouth area

Portsmouth area

Waterbeach/Cambridge area

Yeovilton area

Simply click on the area website that you want to visit, go to the Home Page, click on‘No Comments’s (unusually named!) and leave your comments – maybe a request  for info or just something you want to let other Forces personnel know about.

Maybe a unit you are being posted to is based in one of the areas covered by the Great Forces Deals sites, maybe you want to get information on the  things that only  people living in the area can give – rather than general info you can find on any of the the web searches. We aim to add steadily to the number of military areas covered by these sites – offering you the chance to reach an ever-widening Forces audience with your questions or feedback on various consumer/financial/living topics or, of course, the events you’d like to promote (see What’s On section). As we add sites to this network, the coverage for your message will grow relatively.
